On January 18, 2022, the Pittsburg City Council adopted the Economic Development Strategic Plan. This plan establishes goals, strategies, investment priorities, and implementation actions for the City over the next several years and is designed to address the City’s economic development vision and mission: to expand the local economy in a diverse and self-sustaining way that serves to improve the lives of all residents.

To do this, the Plan seeks to support its existing businesses, while also attracting innovative and creative industries that will lead Pittsburg into the future and strengthen its position within the region and state for attracting jobs.
